AT&T U-verse Arrives In Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga., March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Greater Augusta area residents now have a new choice for their television and high speed Internet services. AT&T* is launching U-verse^® TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice in the area.

The new services are part of AT&T's Project Velocity IP (VIP). The initiative significantly expands and enhances AT&T's IP and mobile data networks. AT&T U-verse will continue rolling out to additional local cities and neighborhoods in upcoming months.

Project VIP will extend the AT&T U-verse IP network to about 57 million customer locations in its service areas by the end of 2015. AT&T also plans to upgrade U-verse High Speed Internet to speeds of up to 100 Mbps over the next several years. That's fast enough to download two songs or 6,000 email messages in a second.
