AT&T U-verse Arrives in New Hanover County

WILMINGTON, N.C., Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New Hanover County residents now have a new choice for their high speed Internet and television services. AT&T* is launching U-verse^® High Speed Internet, AT&T U-verse TV and AT&T U-verse Voice in the area.

The new services are part of AT&T's Project Velocity IP (VIP), which significantly expands and enhances AT&T's IP and mobile data networks. AT&T U-verse will continue rolling out to additional local cities and neighborhoods in upcoming months. Through Project VIP, AT&T expects the wireline IP network to reach approximately 57 million customer locations.

Portions of New Hanover County getting the service include Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach.
