Attivio Sets Stage for Aggressive Growth with Strategic Executive Leadership Appointments

NEWTON, Mass., Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Attivio, the software company reinventing enterprise search and Big Data discovery, today announced strategic executive leadership appointments to drive the company's business strategy and aggressive next stage of growth. New leadership roles include the appointment of Stephen Baker as Chief Executive Officer, Will Johnson as Chief Technology Officer and Peter Lee as Chairman of the Board.

Stephen Baker will assume day-to-day management responsibilities as Attivio CEO and will be focused on driving the company's business strategy and overall performance. Baker most recently served as Attivio's Chief Operating Officer. Ali Riaz, Attivio's founder and previous CEO, will maintain an active role as founder, advising on key issues and supporting strategic customer and partner relationships.

Prior to joining Attivio, Baker was President and Chief Revenue Officer of RAMP, a SaaS-based Online Video Platform located in Boston. During his seven years at RAMP, Baker led the sales, account management and client operations teams to profitability.

Before RAMP, Baker worked at FAST Search & Transfer as Product Manager and VP of Business Development for the AllTheWeb Business unit, which was sold to Overture/Yahoo! in 2003. Following the acquisition, Baker served as VP/General Manager eBusiness for FAST's enterprise software business, which achieved explosive revenue growth leading up to its acquisition by Microsoft.

In addition to core leadership changes, Peter Lee has joined the Attivio Board as Chairman. Lee is co-founder of Mister Wolf & Associates, a consulting firm assisting entrepreneurs in realizing transformational productivity in sales, R&D and talent management. Prior to his appointment as Chairman, Lee served as Executive Vice President of TIBCO Software where he was responsible for TIBCO's Big Data/Analytics, Cloud Computing, Customer Experience Management, B2B and Security Information & Event Management product groups. Former Attivio Chairman Per-Olof Soderberg will continue to serve as a contributing member of the Board.
