Avanti Hospitals Becomes First Health System Nationwide with Unified Telehealth Platform
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Avanti Hospitals has recently partnered with Carenection to provide a supportable and reliable infrastructure for critical telehealth services, including telehealth carts for initial assessments, telehealth tablets for post-admission rounding, a video call center which enables participation by multiple remote specialists in a single encounter, and connectivity to over 500 hospitals nationwide via the Carenection Telehealth Delivery Network (CTDN).
The Carenection partnership was a key contributor to the recent designation of Coast Plaza Hospital, a facility of Avanti Hospitals, as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC) by The Joint Commission in collaboration with The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
