AVI-SPL Expands Video Capabilities in Europe

FARNBOROUGH, England, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVI-SPL, the world's leading video communications partner, announced today its UK operations have obtained Polycom certifications for RealPresence™ Environments and RealPresence™ Platform extending its video capabilities into the European theatre.

This certification recognizes that AVI-SPL has a core competency in selling Polycom's RealPresence Environments and Platform solutions. The RealPresence Environment is Polycom's video solution which includes immersive telepresence, desktop and mobile applications and supported video endpoints. The RealPresence Platform is intelligent infrastructure that acts as the unifying hub in unified communications environments and works via open standards-based interoperability with communications and business applications from hundreds of vendors.

Achieving RealPresence certification showcases AVI-SPL's commitment to investing in the expansion of its capabilities globally. Building on the company's recent award as Polycom's U.S. Partner of the Year for 2012, AVI-SPL looks to extend its presence in the video communications space to Europe through its office in the UK which opened in January this year.
