AVID Technical Resources Hits 10 Year Milestone
Company Turns 10 Years Old in June 2013
BOSTON, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVID Technical Resources is celebrating 10 successful years as a leading national IT recruiting firm on June 30th. AVID was founded by Brian Tomasello in 2003. With the help of his business partner, John-Paul Treacy, the two worked tirelessly to build a company that has not only weathered two recessions, but flourished in them.
AVID Technical Resources (www.avidtr.com) is a top contract and permanent IT recruiting company. Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, AVID specializes in placing contractors with an applications development or infrastructure support background. AVID works with a wide client base ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies that stretch across numerous vertical markets (including Finance, Government, Healthcare, Energy, and Higher Education).
"It's hard to believe that ten years have gone by," said Principal Owner, Brian Tomasello. "It feels like just yesterday I was starting the company in a one-hundred square foot office in Copley Square. Today, I'm proud to boast over 30 employees working in six different offices on the east and west coast. I'm excited about our future and can't wait to see our footprint across America in another ten years."
AVID Technical Resources was most recently recognized by The Boston Business Journal as one of the region's largest Temporary Placement Firms in the Massachusetts area for the sixth straight year. The company has also garnered numerous other awards and recognition in Forbes Magazine, a spot on Inc. Magazine's List of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies, and the 2012 Boston Award in the Employment Agencies category by the U.S. Commerce Association.
In the ten years since its inception, AVID Technical Resources has expanded its reach from local to national, with offices in Marlboro, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Diego. The company plans to expand into Chicago, DC and North Carolina in late 2013 and early 2014.
