DALLAS, Sept. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Avocados From Mexico®, the number one selling avocado brand in the U.S., is once again extending its partnership with Susan G. Komen®, the world's leading breast cancer organization. To mark their fifth year of working together, the pair is turning produce aisles pink again with special displays and bags meant to drive further awareness. Avocados From Mexico (AFM) will also be donating $100,000 to Susan G. Komen to support those affected by breast cancer as part of the partnership.*
To further support the fight against breast cancer, Avocados From Mexico is pledging up to $100 per patient for mammograms in certain locations throughout the month, with rules and sign-up forms available at AvocadosFromMexico.com/SusanGKomen. Through these actions, the brand hopes to help share the power of early detection and the importance of routine screenings.**
The latest co-branded AFM x Susan G. Komen campaign, Don't Just Check These: Check Yours, will shine a light on the most common cancer among women in the U.S., which accounts for 32% of newly diagnosed cancers1. Throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shoppers will be able to browse a selection of avocados packed in thematic bags that support Susan G. Komen's mission: to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
"Our pink bags are meant to bring attention to the cause by standing out in the produce aisle," explained Stephanie Bazan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Execution at Avocados From Mexico. "Don't Just Check These: Check Yours is all about awareness and encouraging people to take time out of their busy days to learn about such an important issue. We're incredibly proud to once again be partnering with Susan G. Komen to support the inspirational work they do, as well as help avocado lovers everywhere stay healthy for years to come."
With 86% of consumers more likely to purchase from purpose-driven companies supporting a cause2, this campaign allows the brand to further align with shoppers' values and priorities. At the same time, it highlights the importance of positive eating patterns: Avocados are a fruit that contributes 6 grams of unsaturated fats3 and nearly 20 vitamins and minerals4, providing a delicious way to lead a healthy lifestyle.
"Avocados From Mexico has been an incredible partner to us for the last five years," adds Sarah Rosales, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at Susan G. Komen. "Together, we're able to share pivotal messaging that brings to light the importance of early detection. At the end of the day, there's nothing more powerful than equipping people with knowledge. We're looking forward to continuing our collective efforts to ensure everyone stays informed and protects both themselves and their loved ones."
