Dec 24, 2015, 12:20 ET from Wyncode Academy

MIAMI, Dec. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyncode Academy, Florida's first bricks and mortar coding bootcamp teaching computer programming in nine weeks, is bringing coding to WeWork, Miami Beach.  WeWork is a community for creators and provider of shared workspace, community, and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and growing businesses.

"We're thrilled to expand Wyncode to Miami Beach and provide opportunities for motivated and ambitious individuals to learn how to code in one of the most beautiful settings in the world," Wyncode co-founder Juha Mikkola said. "WeWork shares Wyncode's passion for building community. We believe that the foundation for a successful tech ecosystem is coding talent that can build amazing things. That talent is right here in Miami Beach, they just need to get access to the right type of training."

Wyncode's program attracts people without a programming background from a variety of careers: chefs, lawyers, salespeople, accountants, concierges, marketing executives and entrepreneurs have all learned to code through Wyncode's intensive, full-time program. The program focuses on tech skills like Ruby, Javascript, HTML and CSS and also on the business skills that startups require to be successful.

The Head Instructor for the Miami Beach campus is Auston Bunsen, a long time Miami Tech leader, programmer and entrepreneur. He is the former Chief Technical Officer of 1Sale & founder of Miami tech conference SuperConf. Auston has written code that has powered millions of visits across platforms using Python, Ruby & JavaScript. He is passionate about learning, hacking, community, open source & having a positive influence on the world around him and is an ideal fit for Wyncode's dynamic team.

"Wyncode's program is attracting more and more students from out of state," Wyncode's co-founder Johanna Mikkola said. "Our last cohort in Wynwood had 25% out of state students, including students from New York, Seattle, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. We believe Miami Beach is a great option for these students, as they'll have access to industry leading education that is just steps away from the beach."

Wyncode Academy is licensed by the Florida Department of Education and has graduated over 180 Wyncoders, maintaining a 90% placement rate within 3 months of graduation. 96% of those Wyncoders are working as developers with the majority receiving full time offers to stay in South Florida's tech ecosystem. Wyncode's Miami Beach campus will be its third, joining campuses in the Wynwood Arts District and Ft. Lauderdale's Flagler Arts and Technology Village. Wyncode is the third most student reviewed program on industry leading site Course Report, with a 4.9 out of 5 star rating.

Wyncode's first cohort in Miami Beach will begin on January 25th and is limited to 10 seats. WeWork members will receive a $500 discount on tuition. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and interested candidates should apply at wyncode.co
