Babson College to Host Grand Opening Celebration at Brand New Boston Campus on November 4th

WELLESLEY, Mass., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Babson College, the recognized world leader in entrepreneurship education, has officially opened the doors to its newest campus—Babson Boston—a multi-floor, 9,000 square feet space at 100 High Street.

To celebrate, Babson will be hosting an all-day, open house, grand opening celebration—including breakfast, a ribbon cutting, special guest speakers, lunch, a look into the classroom, and more—on Friday, November 4, 2016, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The new space, located in the heart of Boston's Financial District, complements Babson's educational offerings at its Wellesley, Massachusetts and San Francisco, California campuses. Alumni, new students, and current students are invited to take graduate level courses in this space. Part-time graduate students have the opportunity to complete their entire degree in the city.

Babson Boston will also be home to the college's recently launched Global Entrepreneur in Residence Program (GEIR). The new initiative will help qualified international entrepreneurs from Babson and other area colleges qualify for an H-1B visa and remain in Massachusetts, continue to build their high potential startup businesses, and bring new, high-skill jobs to the region. Babson is the first private college to pursue a GEIR program. 

The campus features approximately 2,000 square feet of 1^st floor co-working space along Federal street, and 7,000 square feet of classroom, meeting rooms, and lounge space on the 12^th floor. Each will be home to different ways for the Babson community to connect, engage, and innovate, including but not limited to a monthly networking event for alumni and friends of the college.  

The campus is centrally located at a drop-off location for multiple MBTA commuter bus lines, and is less than a five-minute walk to several T stops on the Red, Orange, and Green lines. Owned by CBRE Global Investors, the 28-story building features a multi-use tenant lounge and high-tech conference room, free Wi-Fi, a coffee bar, and a rooftop deck with city views.
