Baker University and Kansas State Bank partnership introduces employee incentive programs
BALDWIN CITY, Kan., Sept. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees of Baker University can now benefit from new incentive programs created by Kansas State Bank/KSB, with Brian King, a member of the Baker University Board of Trustees and Kansas State Bank Board member, leading the charge.
For several years, Kansas State Bank has been a generous sponsor of a variety of university events and initiatives, including homecoming tailgates, Office of Alumni Relations events, the Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament, and sponsorship of Forever Orange: The Campaign for Baker University.
Kansas State Bank, with the generous support from Brian and his wife Barbara "Buffy" King, has broadened its support by creating dynamic "community first" incentive programs for Baker University employees and students, Baldwin School District and a scholarship program for a Baldwin high student attending Baker.
King says the new programs were created for those living, working, and attending school in Baldwin City with the intention of further enhancing community ties.
"By partnering with businesses and education, we are trying to create community and oneness, and Baker plays a vital role in the Baldwin City community," said George McCrary, Business Development Officer for Kansas State Bank.
"I am thrilled to formalize these incentive programs for Baker University," said King. "These new programs will offer some real dollar value to Baker University students and employees, and will contribute so much to our community, as well."
Loan and Deposit Incentive Program
The Baker Employee Loan and Deposit Incentive Program offered through KSB provides home loan, car loan, and deposit account incentives to Baker University employees and students.
- Employees who purchase, renovate, or refinance a home through an in-house loan offered by KSB will get $1,000 voucher to be applied to closing costs.
- Employees and students who purchase a car through a KSB loan will get a special rate specifically for Baker employees.
- For every new deposit account of any type opened at KSB of at least $500, recipients will receive $10 free cash, and KSB will contribute $40 to the KSB Scholarship.
Kansas State Bank Scholarship Program
The Kansas State Bank Scholarship will be offered to a graduate of Baldwin High School who plans to attend Baker University. This $2,500 annual scholarship may be increased as additional funds are endowed.
- Brian and Buffy King will contribute at least $1,000 annually to the Kansas State Bank Scholarship for 5 years.
