Banana Republic Introduces The Modern Fragrance Collection For Men And Women

Modern Woman                
Grounded in a bold floral composition, Modern Woman embodies a sensual spirit that champions authenticity and exploration. Developed by Senior Perfumer Extraordinaire*, Jerome Epinette of Robertet, the scent celebrates Banana Republic's California heritage – offering the perfect blend of effortless style.

The watery, fruity-floral scent opens with fresh, sparkling notes of Italian Bergamot and Nymphaea Waterlily. The heart has ultra-feminine Sun Goddess Rose petals, a key ingredient and exclusive Robertet specialty that delivers a signature floral impression and dries down to soft, white amber.

Modern Man                    
Modern Man personifies a new multi-faceted generation of modern masculinity. The scent - a new collaboration developed by Irina Burlakova and Vincent Kuczinski of Mane - offers a juxtaposition of cool and spicy aromatic synergy; a reflection of energetic personality with just the right amount of edge.

The cool, aromatic musk scent opens with a sparkling watery accord and features the daikon as a signature – a first in fine fragrance – for a , a harmony of Japanese radish that captures a fresh, zesty quality in an unexpected way. A study in contrast, the signature imparts a clean, aromatic top paired with a sensual incense-musky dry down to reflect the multi-faceted aspect of Modern man.

Banana Republic Modern Woman and Modern Man are packaged in classic square box sets, white for her and black for him. Each fragrance is contained in its own signature glass bottle – his, a defined square and hers, a feminine, circular shape. Both have a horizontal pattern across the front and vertical across the back, an element unique to the heritage of Banana Republic's original Modern franchise.

In US markets, Modern Woman and Modern Man will both be available in 1.7oz/50mL size, retailing for $48.00 and $45.00, respectively. Both will be available at Banana Republic stores in the US and Canada in October 2014, and in Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, Italy and France by the end of the year. All other international markets will launch in the first half of 2015.
