Banking Specialist, Bridget Day, Joins WeiserMazars LLP's Financial Services Group as New Partner

NEW YORK, Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WeiserMazars LLP announced today that Bridget Day has joined the firm as a partner in its Financial Services Group. Ms. Day, who will be based in the firm's Edison, N.J. office, has more than 20 years of experience addressing complex accounting issues and working extensively with clients in the financial services, insurance and banking industries. Her specialty expertise lies in assurance engagements and SEC issues.

The addition of Ms. Day strengthens the suite of services which the WeiserMazars Financial Services Group offers to clients operating in the banking sector.

Prior to joining WeiserMazars, Ms. Day served as a partner in the financial services group at EisnerAmper, where she led the firm's banking practice and contributed to the firm's Quality Assurance and SEC practice groups. In addition, Ms. Day spent 14 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where, for two years, she was dedicated to the Risk and Quality SEC Services Group at the national level.

Ms. Day is a consultant to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has served as an instructor for a number of technical courses, including those that relate to fair value issues, Sarbanes Oxley and SEC requirements, FASB updates, and internal control design and implementation concerns.

Ms. Day earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration from St. Francis College.
