Growth of 20+ locations will come from a combination of company units and franchise territories, according to CEO, John Neitzel. These new locations will complement the 17 units added in 2011.
Founded in 1991, in Chicago's trendy River North neighborhood Bar Louie expanded throughout the Chicago area becoming a neighborhood favorite for its comfortable urban environment and delicious menu served until last call. Given the strong demand for a unique neighborhood bar and restaurant, Bar Louie has expanded to markets nationwide including Austin, Tampa, St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Washington D.C.
The chain that hates to be called a chain will not compromise the individuality of their units as they continue to grow. "No two Bar Louie's are the same, they each have their own unique local architectural touches and personality, while maintaining a familiar look and feel," says Neitzel. "We will continue to seek second generation spaces and avoid a standard prototype."

Evans has more than 30 years experience running franchise development for some of the country's best restaurant brands, including Panera Bread, Noodles & Company, Corner Bakery and most recently Go Roma.
