BATS 1000 Index Advances 1.7% This Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index (Ticker: BATSK) gained 303.74 points, or 1.7%, this week to close at 17,887.94 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today.

Nine of the 10 sectors that comprise the index advanced. The Alternative Resources and Energy sector led the advancers with a 3.1% gain. The only sector to decline for the week was the Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals sector (-0.3%).
