BATS Exchange Announces 1st Anniversary of BATS 1000(SM) Index
THIRD-LARGEST EXCHANGE OPERATOR COMPLETES 1ST ANNUAL INDEX RECONSTITUTION, PUBLISHES INDEX DATA VIA CONSOLIDATED TAPE SYSTEM
KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- BATS Exchange, the leading and innovative U.S. securities exchange, announces the first anniversary and annual reconstitution of the BATS 1000(SM) Index and the availability of index data in the Consolidated Tape System (CTS), the operating authority for exchange-listed securities information.

The BATS 1000 Index completed its first year on June 30th closing at 11,495.85, an increase of 14.96% since inception. BATS officially began tracking BATS 1000 Index data on July 1st, 2009 with a base value of 10,000.00.
The ten BATS 1000 Index sectors are adjusted to an equal weighting based on the current value of the index during the annual reconstitution process.
