Battle 4 Atlantis: The Ultimate Division I Men's College Tournament Slam Dunks Onto AXS TV And NBC Sports Network

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas, Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eight teams will participate in the second annual Battle 4 Atlantis on November 22-24, 2012, the richest Division I Men's pre-season college basketball tournament.  The pulse-pounding event will be televised live from the 3,900 seat arena at the famed Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas on AXS TV and NBC Sports Network.  The eight teams in the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis field combined have more than 160 NCAA postseason appearances.  In addition to Duke University's five NCAA National Championship titles, with the most recent being 2010, University of Louisville advanced to the 2012 NCAA Final Four® and Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011.

Duke University, University of Louisville, University of Memphis, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri, University of Northern Iowa, Stanford University and Virginia Commonwealth University will battle it out in a 12-game tournament televised live to millions of sports fans nationwide.  AXS TV will air coverage of the tournament at 1:00 pm ET and 3:30 pm ET, while NBC Sports will broadcast the daily 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm games starting on November 22 (please check your local listings).  AXS TV is available nationally on DirecTV (channel 306), Dish (channel 131), AT&T U-Verse (channel 1106), Verizon FiOS (channel 569) as well as Charter, Comcast Xfinity, Insight, Suddenlink and other TV providers.
