Baume & Mercier Serves as Lead Sponsor of Hamptons International Film Festival 2012

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y., Oct. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 20th anniversary of the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) kicked off tonight with an invitation-only party hosted by luxury watch brand, Baume & Mercier.  The reception, held at the prestigious Wolffer Estate in Sagaponack, NY, drew an impressive celebrity crowd including Alan Cumming and Trudie Styler. Also in attendance was Variety Magazine's "10 Actors to Watch: Breakthrough Performers of 2012."

Serving as the lead sponsor for the second consecutive year, Baume & Mercier's partnership with HIFF goes far beyond tonight's event. The watch brand's persona is captured through scenes of seaside living that celebrate life's special moments and achievements. HIFF has a similar mission showcasing and acclaiming up-and-coming talent in film. For this reason, it was a likely partnership for both Baume & Mercier and HIFF.

In addition to tonight's event, Baume & Mercier's sponsorship will be seen throughout the 5-day festival as they will provide 500 branded tote bags to VIP guests, showcase a short brand video before nearly 20 spotlight films and most notably, award the "Baume & Mercier Starfish Award" to the Film Festival's best film this year. This presentation will occur on October 7th, at Guild Hall in East Hampton.
