Bazuca Chooses Avail-TVN To Support Its OTT Video Service In Chile And Across Latin America
Partnership Brings Transactional and Subscription VOD Services to SmartTVs, Tablets, Smartphones and other Connected Devices Throughout Latin America
RESTON, Va., Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Avail-TVN, the leading global provider of advanced video services, today announced that Bazuca launched the next version of its over-the-top (OTT) video service with Avail-TVN. Bazuca is a subsidiary of Chilean cable operator, VTR, a Liberty Global company.

Bazuca will extend the video offering to include Subscription VOD (SVOD) services for television and studio content, music, children's programming, and events. Avail-TVN is providing licensing, content preparation, metadata management, content delivery, and marketing and promotional support, as well as integrating with Bazuca's CDN and DRM solutions. Together, Bazuca and Avail-TVN are offering content from the major U.S. studios for new release and library titles and partnering with local market content providers to deliver regional favorites, and making content available on both a Transactional VOD (TVOD) and SVOD basis. Avail-TVN's AnyView Content multiplatform service will provide content in multiple adaptive bitrate (ABR) formats, in SD, HD and 3D, optimizing video streaming on any type of device.
