Beijing Week in Expo Milano 2015 Will Be Opened on May 30th

BEIJING, May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The remarkable Expo Milano 2015 will be held from May 1st to October 31st in Milan, Italy. As the first Chinese city appearing at Expo Milano 2015, Beijing will launch a series of activities to participate in Expo Milano 2015.

With the theme of "Beautiful Beijing Shining at the Expo", Beijing Week is the key part of Beijing participating in Expo Milano 2015, which will be held from May 30th to June 3rd. Beijing Week will launch a series of activities with Chinese elements and Beijing features, such as warming-up tour, the opening ceremony, "Night in Beijing" artistic performance, comprehensive promoting activities and the closing ceremony.

The opening ceremony will be held in China pavilion cinema of Expo Milano 2015 in the morning of May 30th. On the occasion, more than 160 honored guests will attend the opening ceremony. They are from International Organizations, Organizing Committee of Expo Milano 2015, Organizing Committee of China Pavilion, curators of other Pavilions, officials of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, representatives of Milano government, foreign friends and overseas Chinese, home and abroad representatives of part enterprises, and Beijing delegation as well as the media. At the same time, the first-publishing rite of Beijing special issue of "CINITALIA" will also be launched at the opening ceremony.

Before the opening ceremony, actors of dance-drama "Marco Polo" will tour on the expo boulevard in costume, warming up for Beijing Week. On the same night, there will be "Night in Beijing" artistic performance in the Expo Milano hall, performing the original dance-drama "Marco Polo". On June 3rd, during the closing ceremony of Beijing Week, great evens such as Beijing International Horticultural Exposition 2019 will be promoted and we will send friendly invitations to people all over the world.

During the Beijing Week, a five-day integrated promotion activity will be organized on the stage outside the China Pavilion. With pictures presentation, LED screen display, art performance, live manufacturing, intangible cultural heritage presentation, audience interactive participation and other various forms, the integrated promotion activity will showcase the developing status of Beijing urban agriculture, cultural innovation, modern media, fashion design, modern logistics, science and technology, economy and trade and relevant industries.
