Las colecciones Spring Summer 18 Menswear and Womenswear se han unificado, estando inspiradas en la aventura épica y viaje de los participantes del rally París Dakar. Viajando a través de condiciones extremas, fue en estos territorios inexplorados en donde los participantes encontraron numerosas culturas, climas y terrenos diferentes, algo que se extrapola a la colección, mezclando los tejidos prestacionales modernos con los gráficos e impresiones retro deportivos.

Inspirándose en la era de los últimos años 70 y principios de los 80, el rally se basaba menos en la carrera y más en un viaje de auto-descubrimiento, con participantes que necesitaban de valor y Fortaleza para completar el viaje, sin saber nunca qué les esperaba tras la siguiente curva. Esta sensación de impredecible se representa en buena medida en esta colección, con una innovación tecnológica de múltiples temporadas, que mezcla las telas lujosas y las impresiones audaces junto a la funcionalidad. Los numerosos países y terrenos que atravesó el rally proporcionan la inspiración perfecta para que Belstaff muestre nuevos estilos modulares, de bajo peso y muy técnicos que son protectores y que se pueden llevar en todos los climas.

Se proyecta un sentido de espontaneidad, con estampados e impresiones yuxtapuestos con ropa deportiva de inspiración retro, además de la influencia de la ropa occidental y estando influidos por los colores africanos.

Belstaff mostró las colecciones en el icónico lugar de Londres de la Somerset House, en su ala de reciente apertura, Lancaster Rooms, con los invitados llegando por medio del emblemático Puente de Waterloo británico. El espacio en bruto y dilapidado con techos altos y ventanas en arco originales es un contrapunto a los fragmentos modernos de boques de colores, que evocan la naturaleza gráfica de la colección al tiempo que las dunas de arena conceptuales del panorama de África proporcionan el marco para establecer las viñetas del modelo.
