Bernhard Capital-Backed Delta Utilities Completes Acquisition of Entergy's Natural Gas Distribution Businesses in New Orleans and East Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La., July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Utilities, a Bernhard Capital Partners portfolio company, today announced it has acquired Entergy's two regulated natural gas utilities serving communities throughout New Orleans and East Baton Rouge Parish.

Through this acquisition, Delta Utilities, a New Orleans-based natural gas utility company, welcomes more than 200,000 new residential and commercial customers and approximately 200 employees from Entergy.

Delta Utilities, a $1.7 billion organization, will now serve approximately 600,000 customers across Louisiana and Mississippi with more than 800 employees. This transaction follows Delta Utilities' acquisition of CenterPoint Energy's natural gas operations in Louisiana and Mississippi earlier this year, through which it welcomed 500 employees and more than 380,000 customers across both states. Today, Delta Utilities is positioned to be a leader within the natural gas industry as one of the top 40 natural gas utilities by total customer count.
