Big Bear Mining Corp Announces Strategic Management Changes

TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Big Bear Mining Corp (OTCBB:BGBR), a U.S.-based company focused on the acquisition and development of gold and other precious metal projects, announced that James Baughman has been appointed as the new CEO. Former CEO, Steve Rix, will assist as needed to ensure a smooth transfer of the duties to Mr. Baughman.

Mr. Baughman has been serving as an independent director with the company for the last 15 months. He has been influential in the acquisition of both of our properties in Wyoming and brings over 30 years of exploration and management experience. He was co-founder and CEO of High Plains Uranium which successfully listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and was later acquired by a major uranium company. He currently serves as the COO of West Mountain Index Advisors, Inc.

In addition to Mr. Baughman's appointment as CEO, Big Bear is pleased to announce the appointment of three additional board members. John Ryan is reunited with Mr. Baughman from their collaborative efforts at High Plains Uranium. He is also the co-founder of U.S. Silver and Western Goldfields Inc.  He currently serves as the CEO and Chairman of Senetek PLC (OTCBB:SNKTY) . Mr. Ryan will assume the duties of CFO and as a director with Big Bear.

Additionally, the Company is pleased to announce the addition of Howard Crosby as a director.  Mr. Crosby serves currently on the boards of Senetek PLC and White Mountain Titanium Corp (OTCBB:WMTM).  He also was co-founder of U.S. Silver, High Plains Uranium, and Western Goldfields Inc.

Finally, the Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Bruce Reid will serve as the new Chairman of the Board. He currently serves as the Chairman and President of Carlisle Gold (CNSX:CGJ). He brings with him extensive experience in the capital markets and financial sectors in Toronto and is a professionally trained geologist.
