Teardrops to Rainbows Helps Families of Children with Cancer

WASHINGTON, Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Big Sky Associates sponsored Washington-area children's charity Teardrops to Rainbows and helped the nonprofit raise more than $100,000.

Based in Fairfax, Va., Teardrops to Rainbows provides support services and financial assistance to families of children with cancer. The nonprofit's services include support for childcare, housekeeping, pet care during Make-A-Wish trips, car repairs and payments, and funeral assistance.

"Teardrops to Rainbows plays an active role in helping families through the many stages of treatment for life-threatening illnesses," said Teardrops to Rainbows Founder and President Lois Lyons. Big Sky recently sponsored Teardrops to Rainbows' annual gala with more than 480 guests in attendance. The gala raised more than $100,000 to support the nonprofit's programs.
