Biotia Raises New Oversubscribed $9M Financing and Expands Board to Scale Infectious Disease Diagnostics in Women's Health and Orthopedics

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Biotia, the clinical metagenomics company whose BIOTIA-ID Urine Test identifies the cause of recurrent and complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) with 97% sensitivity and 99% specificity, today announced an oversubscribed $9 million financing. The test is available to physicians and patients in all 50 states.

The new financing exceeds Biotia's previously announced Series A and reflects continued confidence in Biotia's technology and long-term opportunity. The capital will help scale its New York City laboratory, launch additional diagnostics in women's health, and expand into orthopedic diagnostics.
