BioTrackTHC Collaborates with University of Technology and University of the West Indies in Jamaica to Provide Seed-to-Sale Medical Marijuana Tracking Technology

KINGSTON, Jamaica and FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BioTrackTHC™, the leading provider of seed-to-sale software tracking solutions for marijuana businesses and government regulators, today announced partnerships that provide the company's seed-to-sale medical marijuana tracking technology and training to the University of Technology, Jamaica and the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica. The two universities are growing medical marijuana for research purposes and are the only entities legally allowed to grow marijuana in the country until business licenses are approved.

The chain-of-custody system will ensure that every plant and every gram of medical marijuana material is properly accounted for and may provide a model for the administration and oversight of Jamaica's responsible commercial marijuana industry. Finally, the students at the universities, armed with their training and experience on the BioTrackTHC system, may provide the foundation for the technical support and operational jobs that will be newly created by and critical to a comprehensive infrastructure for the island's medical marijuana economy.
