Bloomberg BNA's Tony Dutra To Receive American Bar Association's 2015 Mark T. Banner Award
ARLINGTON, Va., June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bloomberg BNA today announced that senior legal editor Tony Dutra will be honored by the American Bar Association (ABA) with its 2015 Mark T. Banner Award. The award, presented by the ABA's Section of Intellectual Property Law, recognizes individuals who have made an impact on intellectual property law and/or practice.
Dutra joined Bloomberg BNA in 2008 after a 25-year career in the software and computer networking industry. As an inventor, he is listed on seven U.S. patents related to Internet telephony and was lead inventor on two of them. At Bloomberg BNA, he serves as an editor of the Patent, Trademark & Copyright Journal. He writes about a variety of intellectual property law topics with a focus on patents. Dutra's coverage has included momentous events such as the passage and implementation of the America Invents Act and landmark Federal Circuit and Supreme Court opinions.
