BMI Imaging Systems Sponsors Team for the 10th Annual Steve Tidwell Shoot for the Troops
Milestone tournament benefits Middle Tennessee's severely wounded veterans and the families of fallen service members
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BMI Imaging Systems, Inc. is proud to announce its sponsorship of a four-man team for the 10th Annual Steve Tidwell Shoot for the Troops, hosted by the Nashville Chapter of the Joshua Chamberlain Society (JCS). The sporting clay tournament was held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Nashville Gun Club in Nashville, Tennessee. President & CEO Will Whitney shot alongside a team of friends and neighbors, marking BMI's third consecutive year supporting the event.
The Joshua Chamberlain Society is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing lifelong support to severely wounded veterans and the families of fallen service members. Its Nashville chapter has served Middle Tennessee since 2013 through the "Adopt a Hero" program and today supports 13 heroes and their families. Donations stay local, and all proceeds from the tournament go directly to benefiting those families.
Now in its tenth year, the Shoot for the Troops has grown into one of the chapter's signature events. The afternoon of competition was followed by dinner, an open bar, and a silent auction, with top team awards and an engraved KA-BAR combat knife presented to the top shooter, whose name is added to the Shoot for the Troops Memorial Trophy.
"Ten years is a long run for an event like this, and it says a lot about how much this community shows up," said Will Whitney. "Having served in the Marines, this event means a lot. JCS commits to these families for life, and it's an honor to be able to support events like this shoot."
Giving back to the community has long been part of how BMI operates, and this sponsorship reflects the company's ongoing commitment to supporting those who have served. The BMI team had a great day at the range and was glad to contribute to the vital work of the Joshua Chamberlain Society.
