Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) Announces Programming Board, Strengthens Community Ties

BOCA RATON, Fla., April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) has tapped prominent business and community leaders to serve on its Programming Board, with a focus on developing unique events for the community and BRIC tenants. Crocker Partners, which owns BRIC – the 1.7 million-square-foot former IBM campus -- established the Board to advance the campus' role as "a place where innovation happens." 

Board's members include:

• CEO's Daniel Cane of Modernizing Medicine and Shawn Pearson of Bluegreen Vacations, both headquartered at BRIC, and Pete Martinez, former VP of Global Business Services at IBM and current CEO of SIVOTEC Analytics
• Troy McLellan, President and CEO of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and Jessica DelVecchio, Economic Development Manager for the City of Boca Raton
• Community and education leaders John Crean, General Manager of Broken Sound Country Club; Mary Csar, Executive Director of the Boca Raton Historical Society; Constance Scott, Director of Local Relations for FAU; Dr. Joel Herbst, Assistant Dean, and Mickey Zitzmann, Director of External Affairs, both for the FAU Henderson School, as well as Peg Anderson, Community Leader

BRIC's goal is to integrate the campus into the fabric of Boca Raton by leveraging the campus' size and resources.

The Board's first contribution to programming at BRIC will take place on May 21, discussing the intersection of art and technology, in partnership with the Palm Beach Cultural Council and the Boca Raton Museum.

The Board members' expertise and diverse perspectives will also help add new dimensions to BRIC. For example, an on-site history of tech museum is planned in partnership with the Boca Raton Historical Society and IBM Alumni Association and the FAU Henderson School is helping shape plans for BRIC's STEAM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) to both support tenant's efforts and get young people excited about the City's future as a technology hub.

BRIC currently hosts events in a state-of-the-art, 400-seat conference facility, with plans to add a 1,000-seat presentation hall this year as part of an amenities expansion plan to also include a food hall, coworking space, and wellness center. ABOUT BRIC

Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) is the largest single facility office building in the state at 1.7 million square feet.
