BOLDR Supply Company Launches the Rockpack Bags on Kickstarter
SINGAPORE, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The BOLDR Supply Company is making their first foray into bags, with their launch of the BOLDR Rockpack collection of bags on Kickstarter. The Rockpack collection consists of three versatile bags to suit all adventures; from urban to outdoor escapades.
The Rockpack collection is made up of the Sling (a cross-body laptop commuter bag), the Duffel (a spacious weekend or gym bag), and the Kit (a small tech or toiletry kit). Designed as tough, tactical travel gear, the Rockpack bags are inspired by hardy military packs and sleek urban bags, brought together with a modern twist, with BOLDR's iconic design influencing each bag.
The idea for the Rockpack was borne from the frustration of owning bags that never seemed to work right. Realizing that more than a single bag was needed, the idea for a collection came about: three distinctive bags that fulfilled different needs and functions in everyday adventuring life, all with a useful MOLLE system to connect accessories or to each other.
BOLDR Rockpack Sling
A conveniently customized cross-body sling, designed to be the best companion for a daily commute. The Sling features specialized compartments for laptop, phone, power bank and other daily urban gear, with enough space left over for a change of clothes or outerwear. For added safety while on the go, it features a hidden pick-pocket-proof pocket for valuables like money, wallets or a passport.
BOLDR Rockpack Duffel
A versatile duffel bag with an ergonomic 3-way carry strap system to suit any situation: shoulder strap, shoulder sling, tote handles. The Duffel features multiple specialized compartments; with inner pockets that separate accessories, documents, cables or dirty shoes/clothes. The Duffel also has a rip-proof Hypalon bottom layer, reinforced inner structure and trolley sleeve.
BOLDR Rockpack Kit
A tactical kit bag that starts small but expands to fit either gear, tech or toiletries. The Kit compartmentalizes gear with specially designed pockets that feature waterproof material or breathable mesh compartments, to keep things clean and dry no matter what. Thanks to a clip-loop and MOLLE system it can hook to anything, anywhere; in a bathroom, on a branch, in your car, above your desk, or even another Rockpack.
To match the tough as nails quality that BOLDR products are known for, the bags and their components are made out of the toughest materials possible – such as Hypalon, YKK zips, clips and buckles, or BOLDR's 1680 denier ballistic nylon (similar to the nylon found on our titanium Venture watch strap) to give the bags a durable construction and abrasion resistance in the most rugged of situations.
The Rockpack collection is BOLDR's first bag product and joins their repertoire of products, currently consisting of rugged watches and sleek wallets. This is also their fourth Kickstarter campaign, from which they've raised a total of over half a million dollars.
In designing the Rockpack, the team at BOLDR had the chance to rethink bags – sketching, designing, testing and imagining what a better bag would be. Key objectives were to make the bag wearing experience as seamless, convenient and comfortable as possible.
The team embarked on a journey to redefine what good bags should be; full of features you shouldn't live without, tough enough for any situation, while looking stylish and rugged as hell. In short, the team at BOLDR set out to make bags that they themselves actually really wanted to use.
The BOLDR Rockpack collection launches on the Kickstarter on 15th October 2018 and is expected to ship by March 2019. The bags retail price starts at USD $169 but is currently available for a limited Kickstarter pricing starting price of USD $99 and up. The bags are also available as a set for a significant discount.
