Boosting the Development of Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area: Zhang Dejiang

CHONGQING, China, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Zhang Dejiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese vice premier and the secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee visited Chongqing HIFU Technology Co., Ltd in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area on July 6.

In the area, Zhang Dejiang visited BAIC Motor's Chongqing Changke Rail Vehicle Co., Ltd., Hehejiayuan Residential Community, the Airport Functional Area of Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port, Chongqing International Expo Center, Chongqing Hifu Technical Co., Ltd. and the Planning Exhibition Hall of Liangjiang New Area on the afternoon of July 6 and the morning of July 7.

Chongqing Changke Rail Vehicle Co., Ltd. mainly produces vehicles for light rail and railways with an output ranking third in China. Zhang Dejiang said the enterprise should keep a foothold in Chongqing and actively explore the market at home and abroad.

While inspecting Hehejiayuan, the new resettlement housing community in Longxing Industrial Park, Zhang said new ways must be explored to fulfill the urbanization of rural areas, the civilization of farmers and the equalization of public service in both urban and rural areas.

In the airport functional area of Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port Area, Zhang noted the bonded port area must be built as an open door to inland China with the most preferential policies, the most overall functions and the highest degree of openness.

Zhang encouraged builders to redouble their efforts to ensure the project quality at the construction site of the Chongqing International Exhibition Center and also urged enterprises to enhance core competitiveness by promoting scientific and technological progress at Chongqing Haifu (HIFU) Technology Co., Ltd

Zhang Dejiang hosted a work meeting in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area on the morning of July 7, saying that Liangjiang New Area is the only national development new area of inland China. Its infrastructure construction, investment and industrial development have made great progress in the past two years, and all its achievements should be praised.

The Fourth Chongqing Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China suggested building the open highland of inland China, forming an all-directional, multi-layer and wide-range pattern of opening up lead by Liangjiang New Area. Development will be sped up and the area will be opened up to make it an important gateway for inland China.

Liangjiang New Area should cherish the opportunity to contribute to the people and the Party and strive to build itself a first-class new area, not failing the expectation of the Central Government and Chongqing people.

Zhang Dejiang expressed that Liangjiang New Area should follow and implement the spirit of the 4th Congress of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and speed up its development in line with "314" Overall Deployment (3 locations, 1 target and 4 missions) -- "Prosperous Chongqing through Scientific Development".
