LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bosley, a leader in medical hair restoration and hair loss solutions, brought employees together to raise funds for the nonprofit Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Internal staff and physicians raised $20,000 in the month of October.
This is Bosley's third annual employee program and it's modeled after their core company value - a philosophy that instills Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and encourages businesses to give back to the community they are a part of for the greater good of society.
The $20,000 raised will be given to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the nonprofit breast cancer organization that is committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer worldwide.
"Our doctors and employees are dedicated to supporting the community and helping in the fight to find a cure for this devastating disease," said Rob Spurrell, CEO of Bosley.
In total, Bosley raised more than $70,000 in the past three years with the encouragement from the company's core values and the Corporate Social Responsibility philosophy. All proceeds went to breast cancer research.
Bosley physicians and clinical staff throughout the US wore pink ribbons and bracelets to help bring awareness to breast cancer and spark a conversation about breast cancer health and the importance of annual screenings.
