Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company Named Among Massachusetts' Most Charitable Companies for Eighth Consecutive Year

Mutual insurer recognized by Boston Business Journal for its continued commitment to supporting communities through its Making An Impact program

CANTON, Mass., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company, a mutual insurer providing access to insurance solutions, announced today that it has once again been named one of Massachusetts' top charitable companies by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) as part of its annual Corporate Citizenship Awards. Boston Mutual Life was included in the top 100 on the list, marking the eighth consecutive year the company has been included among the group.

Boston Mutual Life was recognized alongside fellow honorees at the BBJ's 21st Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards on Wednesday, September 16, at Big Night Live in Boston. The annual awards recognize companies that promote and prioritize charitable giving and community engagement throughout Massachusetts.

Through Making An Impact, Boston Mutual Life employees participate in volunteer opportunities, donation drives, charitable giving, and other initiatives supporting nonprofit organizations and communities across the country. Employees are also eligible to use one workday each year to volunteer with a nonprofit organization of their choosing, and the company offers an employee matching gift program for eligible charitable donations.

Since the program's launch, Boston Mutual Life has contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours, over 800 donations, and more than $2 million to a variety of charitable causes nationwide.
