Boulle Finishes First at Battle on the Bricks with Era Motorsport

DALLAS, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nick Boulle of deBoulle Diamond and Jewelry, an independent jewelry salon in Dallas and Houston, earned the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory at the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend with Era Motorsport and co-driver Christian Rasmussen.

The team took home the LMP2 class win in No.18 ORECA 07 on Sunday, September 20. This was Boulle's first-time competing with Era Motorsport and debut in the 2026 LMP2 season, and he accomplished the highest victory for the already special weekend.

After a weekend packed of challenging practices and qualifiers, in which Boulle qualified seventh going into the final race.

"Couldn't be happier, honestly," said Boulle. "I knew we'd have a shot, but the whole team did a great job, especially on the pit stops. We knew from the start of the race it was going to be about fuel saving, and Hugo [Franch] called it from the beginning. Even when I started, we knew to focus on hitting the fuel numbers, and Christian delivered. So did the guys on pit lane. I've never seen fuel saving like that. The traces were pretty wild to watch on the telemetry."

On Sunday, Boulle began behind the driver's seat in the two-hour, 40-minute race and immediately avoided a multi-car incident at Turn 1. The driver continued with determination to maintain fuel conservation while balancing pace, knowing this would a crucial factor in the outcome of the championship. He raced as class lead before passing the car in third to co-driver Rasmussen.

While being driven by Rasmussen, No.18 set some of the fastest laps in the LMP2 class and committed to finishing strong. A combination of managing the car's fuel supply, timing the perfect pit-stop with a Full-Course Yellow, and consistent high pace speeds led the Era team across the Yard of Bricks first.

The win is particularly special for Era Motorsport since it is the first IMSA victory at its home event for the program. The successful results of the weekend were long-awaited for every member of the team.
