NEW YORK, Jan. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The NHP Foundation (NHPF) is pleased to announce that Ralph F. Boyd has been elected Chairman of The NHPF Board of Trustees. Prior to being elected Chairman, Boyd has served NHPF since 2005, as a Trustee, Audit Committee Chair and as a member of its Investment Committee.

From February 2005 through March 2012, Mr. Boyd served as the Executive Vice President of Community Relations at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) and President and CEO of the Freddie Mac Foundation. Mr. Boyd joined Freddie Mac in 2004 as its General Counsel.
Prior to his leadership at Freddie Mac, Mr. Boyd was a Senior Litigation Partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Alston & Bird, LLP, an Assistant Attorney General of the United States for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Justice and a Litigation and Trial Partner with the Boston law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP. Mr. Boyd also worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the Boston U.S. Attorney's Office and the U.S. Member of the Geneva-based Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, a United Nations Treaty body.
