ATLANTA, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Boys & Girls Clubs of America (www.GreatFutures.org) has appointed Jay Rasulo, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Walt Disney Company, and Jon Roskill, Corporate Vice President and Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft, to the organization's prestigious Board of Governors.
The strategic leadership provided by the 50-member board guides the work of some 4,000 local Boys & Girls Clubs, serving nearly 4 million children and teens, including youth living on U.S. military installations worldwide. BGCA's Great Futures Impact Plan provides strategic direction to ensure that every child who enters the doors of a Club is on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrate good character and live a healthy lifestyle.

Jay Rasulo is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Walt Disney Company, overseeing the company's worldwide finance organization, corporate strategy and development, brand management, acquisitions, corporate alliances, investor relations, treasury and risk management activities, controller functions, information systems, corporate citizenship, real estate and taxes.
Rasulo was most recently Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, building on the company's traditional strengths as the world's preeminent theme park operator to create a range of businesses that have made Disney a global leader in the family vacation industry. In addition to park expansion, Rasulo has been the principal architect of the growth of the award-winning Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney.
By emphasizing innovative marketing, strategic investment and financial discipline, Rasulo has also deftly managed the Parks and Resorts businesses through difficult periods, first as the unit's president after tourism plummeted globally in the wake of 9/11 and later as chairman during the 2008-09 economic downturn. Throughout, he's been an important advocate for the tourism industry, serving as chairman of the Travel Industry Association of America in 2006 and 2007. Rasulo was inducted into the Travel Industry Hall of Leaders in 2008.
Rasulo joined Disney in 1986 as Director, Strategic Planning and Development, advancing to more senior positions there, and later became Senior Vice President, Corporate Alliances. He then led Disney Regional Entertainment before moving to Paris as President, Euro Disney, before eventually becoming its chairman and CEO in 2000.
A native New Yorker, Rasulo has a degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Before joining Disney, he held positions with Chase Manhattan Bank and the Marriott Corporation.
After actively serving on board of King County Boys & Girls Clubs for two years, Jon Roskill brings invaluable knowledge and passion to the national organization's Board of Governors. As head of the Worldwide Partner Group, Roskill is responsible for Microsoft's worldwide channel strategy for commercial and cloud offerings. In this role, Roskill leads 5,000 sales and marketing professionals, along with Microsoft's 640,000 independently owned-and-operated partner companies -- responsible for 95 percent of the corporation's revenue.
Prior to assuming his current role, Roskill was corporate vice president for Microsoft's U.S. Business and Marketing Office (BMO) and responsible for marketing activities for the tech icon's commercial products (Windows, Microsoft Office, product lines except Xbox and MSN advertising).
Prior to joining Microsoft in 1993, Roskill was a marketing manager at Digital Equipment Corporation, working on Digital AlphaPC. He received his B.S.S.E, summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a member, Beta Kappa Nu honor society. He received his M.B.A. from Boston University.
