BPS Seeks Applications for Three Board of Directors Positions
WASHINGTON, July 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) is seeking applications for individuals to serve on the BPS Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning January 2026 and concluding December 2028. BPS is seeking applicants for three positions: one public member and two pharmacist members. The deadline to submit all application materials is Monday, September 1, 2025 at 5:00pm EDT.
Prior to submitting an application, applicants should carefully review and consider the qualifications, position duties, responsibilities, and required time commitments outlined in the Call for Applications Information Booklet, the BPS Conflict of Interest policy, and the Commitment to Serve. All BPS policies can be found on this webpage.
Application Deadline
BPS must receive all the following items NO LATER THAN Monday, September 1, 2025 at 5:00pm EDT:
- Completed electronic application
- Completed Statement of Interest (300 words or less) responding to the prompt: "Why are you interested in serving as a member of the BPS Board of Directors?"
- Current resumé or curriculum vitae
Open Positions for the 2026-2028 Term
BPS is currently seeking applicants for three positions on BPS Board of Directors with a minimum of 10 years professional experience required for consideration:
Public Member (One position for 2026)
- Current Board Member, Marie E. Michnich, DrPH, is completing her second term and is not eligible for re-appointment.
Pharmacist Members (Two positions for 2026)
- Current Pharmacist Member, Cyrine Haidar, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP, FASHP, is completing her second term and is not eligible for re-appointment.
- Current Pharmacist Member, Gary C. Yee, PharmD, FCCP, FAPhA, is completing his second term and is not eligible for re-appointment.
Applicants will be informed of the decision by the end of November 2025.
The term of appointment for board members is three years with the opportunity to apply for re-appointment to a second term. Terms are based on a calendar year, defined as January 1 to December 31.
Once appointed as a BPS Board Member, terms will begin the following year (e.g., appointed in 2025 to serve in 2026). New Board members will be asked to attend a virtual BPS Board meeting as observers in December 2025 and participate in virtual orientation activities in early 2026.
