Braille Institute Welcomes Distinguished Tech Executive Roberto Medrano To Board of Directors

Veteran Silicon Valley Leader Joins Board to Support Innovative Technology, Strategic Partnerships, and Mission Growth

LOS ANGELES, July 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Braille Institute of America, the nation's leading organization serving those with vision loss, proudly announces the appointment of Roberto Medrano to its Board of Directors. A distinguished Silicon Valley executive and independent board director, Mr. Medrano brings decades of C-suite leadership driving transformative growth in cybersecurity, software, and digital infrastructure. In addition, his unique combination of strategic insight, operational expertise, and governance acumen will help advance Braille Institute's mission and long-term Impact.

Mr. Medrano's proven track record of scaling businesses and driving innovation includes C-suite and senior executive roles at Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, Avnet, and Finjan, where he led multiple organizations through IPOs and M&A transactions while scaling revenues to over $1 billion. He has served on more than 30 corporate and nonprofit boards, including many companies that were successfully acquired.
