Brett Brewer Joins Sequence Equity as Managing Partner as Firm Continues to Scale and Expand its Private Investment Strategy

Former MySpace Co-founder and Co-founder of Crosscut Ventures joins Sequence Equity for next phase of growth

LOS ANGELES, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sequence Equity (FKA TXV Partners), a private equity and venture capital investment firm focused on human optimization and sports, is pleased to announce that Brett Brewer has joined the firm as a Managing Partner. Brewer brings his extensive experience as an entrepreneur, operator, and investor to help drive Sequence's growth and advance its mission to invest in transformative businesses and opportunities across Sequence's various strategies.

Brewer is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of building and scaling successful companies. As the Co-Founder and former CEO of Intermix Media, the parent company of MySpace, Brewer led the company to a successful sale to News Corp. for $680 million. As a Founding Partner of Crosscut Ventures, Brewer has helped build one of Southern California's most prominent venture funds, with over $350 million in AUM. Among his many accomplishments, as President and Vice-Chairman, he scaled Adknowledge from $30 million to $300 million in revenue leading to a private equity exit.

At Sequence, Brewer will focus on leading the firm's venture capital practice and contributing to its broader strategy. He joins Co-Managing Partners Marcus Stroud, Brad Palmer, and Brandon Allen in building Sequence into a global platform for innovation and growth, with investments spanning technology, sports, and other high-impact sectors.
