MILWAUKEE, Jan. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Briggs & Stratton® (NYSE: BGG) introduces the new P2200 PowerSmart Series™ inverter generator. Equipped with parallel capabilities, it can be tethered together with either a second P2200 or a P3000 inverter for additional quiet, consistent power.
The P2200 is the latest addition to the Briggs & Stratton PowerSmart Series™ lineup of inverter generators, which is exclusively designed for any outdoor recreation and tailagating activity in which a reliable and quiet power source is an expectation.

The new PowerSmart Series P2200 offers a convenient control panel that includes three outlets (two 120-volt outlets and one 12-volt DC battery-charging outlet) and a USB adapter to offer the flexibility to power an extensive combination of lights, music, TVs, crock pots, blenders and personal electronics. The inverter technology automatically adjusts the engine speed to protect sensitive elctronics like smart phones, tablets and laptops. Best of all, it operates at 59 decibles*, so it's quieter than a normal conversation to blend into the background of social settings.
The new PowerSmart Series P2200 is powerful, but lightweight. It has 1,700 running watts and 2,200 starting watts** and while being up to 45-percent lighter than traditional camping generators.
