Brightmont Academy Celebrates 15 Years of One-to-One Instruction
The private school has grown to serve more than 2,500 students across five states and 10 campuses with its customized approach
SEATTLE, Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Brightmont Academy, a private school specializing in one-to-one instruction, began in Washington State 15 years ago, when Founder Ruth Wilson opened her first one-to-one school. Today Brightmont Academy has grown to serve more than 2,500 students in 10 campuses throughout five states.
Brightmont Academy offers a unique school option for families that provides a learning approach customized for each student's specific academic needs and style. The one-to-one instruction means that one experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session.
"Throughout our 15-year history, we have honed an instructional approach and a learning environment that optimizes the effectiveness of one-to-one instruction within a quiet, focused environment that reduces anxiety and minimizes distractions," said Ruth Wilson, the founder of Brightmont Academy.
"This is a proven model that addresses a range of student needs—from those with learning difficulties to those who need learning support to graduate to those who would like to accelerate their studies," Wilson said.
Brightmont Academy offers a flexible, engaging learning environment. Students have three enrollment options. They can attend full time and earn a diploma issued by Brightmont Academy, take courses to earn credit toward a diploma issued by their local high school, or receive K-12 tutoring support.
"Brightmont Academy truly believes every student deserves a chance to succeed," said David Rosen, a former Brightmont Academy student. "Customized for each individual's strengths, the instruction at Brightmont Academy helps students gain confidence and develop a love of learning."
Brightmont Academy serves the following locations: Arizona: Deer Valley, Chandler and Scottsdale; Minnesota: Apple Valley and Plymouth; Michigan: Northville and Birmingham; Missouri: Town and Country; Washington: Bellevue, Sammamish and Seattle. The eleventh Brightmont campus will open in Birmingham, MI in spring 2015. For more information, visit www.brightmontacademy.com.
