Brody WorkLounge Receives 2016 Silver Edison Award

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Steelcase announces that Brody® WorkLounge, a microenvironment designed for the brain and the body, has been honored with a Silver award for innovation at the 2016 Edison Awards™.

The Edison Awards celebrate the best in innovation and development of new products and services, and are named for Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) whose inventions, product development methods and achievements garnered him 1,093 U.S. patents, and made him a household name around the world.

The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering and science.

Since its introduction in April 2015, Brody's groundbreaking design has been recognized by a variety of design and innovation leaders. Other top awards include "Best of Year" by Interior Design magazine, finalist standing in the Spark Awards and the popular vote winner of an Architizer A+ award.
