Building For The Future ... New "Blue Ribbon" Stater Bros. Supermarket to Open in Riverside

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Stater Bros. is pleased to announce the opening of its newest and most modern Supermarket in Riverside, California.  An official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place in front of the new Stater Bros. Riverside Supermarket on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 8:15 a.m., and the new Supermarket will open for business at 9:00 a.m.  After Wednesday, the new Supermarket will be open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Located at 2841 Mary St. in the Victoria Village Shopping Center, the new Riverside Supermarket will replace a smaller Stater Bros. Supermarket located at 2861 Mary St., which will close on June 24^th.  This new Riverside Stater Bros. Supermarket demonstrates Stater Bros.' commitment to the Riverside community it has served for over 66 years (since 1948).

To celebrate the Grand Opening and to honor Stater Bros. long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, Stater Bros. Charities will present donations to the Riverside Police Department for the Riverside Police Foundation; to the Casa Blanca Public Library for the purchase of new books in the Children's Section; and to Second Harvest Food Bank for hunger relief efforts in the local community.    

At 44,000 sq. ft., the new state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly Riverside Stater Bros. Supermarket is approximately 80% larger than the Supermarket it will be replacing, with wider customer-friendly aisles, a greater variety of products and enhanced customer services.  Stater Bros. currently operates eight other Supermarkets in Riverside and 48 Supermarkets in Riverside County.

The new, larger Stater Bros. Riverside Supermarket will include the following key enhancements:

• Full Service Fresh Meat Department with knowledgeable and trained professionals to serve you
• Full Service Fresh Seafood Department with experts to assist with selection and preparation tips
• Full Service Deli including Cleo & Leo exclusive recipe hand-breaded fried chicken, specialty sandwiches and wraps, gourmet cheeses, fresh salad bar, Mexican food, a zesty salsa bar and much more
• Self Service Beverage Bar with New Coca-Cola "Freestyle" Fountain Drink Station featuring over 100 flavors of soda, ICEE Drinks, Iced Teas, Espresso, Specialty Coffees, Latte and Hot Cocoa
• Full Service Fresh Bakery with classic Leo & Cleo cakes and pies, full selection of Artisan breads and rolls, fresh baked cookies and specialty cakes and cupcakes
