California Employment Development Department and CannMed 2018 host inaugural Cannabis Career Fair

WOBURN, Mass., Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The State of California's Employment Development Department (EDD) will partner with Medicinal Genomics' CannMed Medicinal Cannabis conference to host a Cannabis Career Fair on Monday, October 22nd from 12 to 5 pm at UCLA's Luskin Conference Center. The Fair is free to job seekers and will feature presentations by expert staff of the EDD for California-licensed cannabis companies, and more than 75 exhibitors looking to fill jobs in every aspect of the rapidly growing industry. EDD Presentations will include overviews from their Disability, Tax, Unemployment and Workforces Branches and information on how the EDD can assist employers and employees in the cannabis industry through its programs and services. These presentations will include:

The Cannabis Career Fair represents the first such partnership between the state of California and the cannabis testing startup, and attendees are also invited to attend the CannMed Conference to advance their skills and knowledge.
