California's Great America Invites Kids to Join the Biggest Costume Party Ever!

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pirate, witch, cowboy, angel?  It's that time of year to decide who you want to be as California's Great America invites you to come to "Snoopy's Costume Party" at Planet Spooky. This daytime, non-scare celebration of cheer rather than fear, is a unique experience the entire family can enjoy together.

In addition to the park's rides and attractions, we have transformed Planet Snoopy into Planet Spooky to include 5 designated trick-or-treat stations where kids 12 and under can show off their costumes as they trick-or-treat along with the Peanuts characters like Snoopy, Charlie Brown and this year we have added Peppermint Patty and Schroeder to the party.

New this year is "Peanuts Spooktacular" - Join Charlie Brown, Linus and Lucy as they get all dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes and take a step to the left and then a step to the right in this creepy and kooky, mysterious but spooky musical adventure that is more fun than fright.  Young ones in costume should be prepared to dance along with the Peanuts Gang in this celebration of iconic Halloween hits that is sure to be Ting, Tang, Walla, Walla, Bing Bang Fun!  

It wouldn't be Halloween without a visit to the "Foam-tastic Pumpkin Patch," where just beyond the haystacks are boo-tiful bubbles and foam just waiting for you to come and play.  And for those a little more adventurous, take a ride on the "Scary-Go-Round," the world's tallest double-decker carousel, complete with giant spider webs and skeletons, go interactive on "Ghost Glider" where you pilot your own ghost as you zip through the sky, or join skeletons and grim reapers in gondolas for a leisurely skyward journey on the "Phantom Flyer."  And don't forget to stop by and interact with Jack our talking pumpkin that has his eyes on all of our guests.
