CAM Commerce Solutions Releases RetailSTAR 10.1

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CAM Commerce (CAM), a subsidiary of Celerant Technology announced today the latest version of its flagship product, RetailSTAR Version 10.1.  Building upon its existing line of software solutions, RetailSTAR 10.1 introduces a variety of new and improved features.  With 10.1, CAM Commerce continues to stay competitive in the Retail Software ERP market for both small and medium size retailers.

In addition to its already robust features list such as point-of-sale, purchasing/receiving, barcodes, inventory control, extensive management reporting, customer loyalty, gift card, accounting, payment processing, and E-commerce; RetailSTAR version 10.1 contains the following new features for multiple retail markets:

Rentals – RetailSTAR now includes a rental module that allows the user to create rental plans with rental items along with fee tracking.  Rental plans can be sold and returned in POS. Rental options include hourly, daily and weekly rentals along with a sliding fee scale.

Menu Refresh – the existing RetailSTAR menu has been completely redesigned using a menu tree features list to easily view menu options with new graphic icons.  Additionally, you can determine whether or not you'd like to show or not show the new menu icons, and you can even include a favorites list to keep top pick features at your fingertips.

CAM Utility Service – this new feature allows the functionality for Experian address/email validation service and allows functionality for Appriss ID parsing for Nplex.

Tax Templates – this module allows you to modify the rules of what tax ID gets applied to sales in POS, providing greater flexibility for tax-free weekends.

Pharmacy retailers already familiar with RetailSTAR will also benefit from a variety of new Pharmacy (Rx) enhancements which includes:  signature maintenance/reporting which allows you the ability to search for and return a customer, chemical tracking ID selection which lets you select an ID to attach to a chemical sale, Rx controlled substance ID selection so that you can select an ID and attach to an Rx controlled substance sale, Rx scanning for Rx manual entry when using a listening service, Rx server which prompts for controlled substances, and modified Rx signature reports to filter and include/exclude sales which required ID for controlled substances.
