CAPE PAC Releases New Episode of "Fact vs. Fiction" Ad Series
CAPE PAC's Latest Advertisement Supports George Allen for U.S. Senate in Virginia
WASHINGTON, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Coalition of Americans for Political Equality Political Action Committee (CAPE PAC) has released a new episode in their ad series called "Fact vs. Fiction" promoting the candidacy of former Virginia Gov. George Allen for U.S. Senate. The ad is now airing in select markets.
CAPE PAC aims to educate voters about Gov. Allen and help get-out-the-vote for his campaign to fill the Senate seat being vacated by U.S. Senator Jim Webb (D-VA). The organization is engaged in spreading awareness to Virginia voters and the nation as a whole about the need to elect Allen, who served as both governor and U.S. Senator of the commonwealth of Virginia.
The new ad, "Fact vs. Fiction: George Allen" supports Allen's Senate bid against Democrat Tim Kaine, who most recently served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. The ad is a part of a series that highlights facts behind fictional claims put forth by opponents of CAPE PAC-supported candidates. Click here to view the ad: http://youtu.be/YTfOuoYeFXM.
One of the most fictional comments made by Kaine was when he accused George Allen of planting "time bombs in the budget," while Allen was senator. In reality, Allen has always been a staunch advocate of balancing the budget during his tenure in elected office.
CAPE PAC's Chairman Jeff Loyd said: "This is one of the most critical seats for the Republican Party this November. It is imperative that Republicans regain the U.S. Senate -- and this open seat in Virginia could be the key to victory. We plan to do everything we can to put George Allen over the finish line."
CAPE PAC also created a support site for Allen, which can be found here: www.supportgeorgeallen.org.
The organization has also been pushing the hashtag #VoteAllen on Twitter, as well as spreading the news on other social channels, such as Facebook, Googe+, etc.
Former Governor George Allen (VA) was elected as Virginia's 67th Governor in 1993 -- a victory that foreshadowed the Republican takeover of the U.S. Congress and state executive offices the following year. Allen, who also served in the U.S. House of Representatives, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000. He was a strong advocate for energy independence and tax cuts to spur opportunity for job creation in Virginia and throughout the U.S. He also created the Competitive Caucus to keep America the "world capital of innovation." After his public service, Allen launched the American Energy Freedom Center, whose mission is to advocate positive ideas for American jobs, economic prosperity and promote increased freedom, opportunity, and competition in the development and use of our vast energy resources. He also serves as the Reagan Ranch Presidential Scholar for the Young America's Foundation.
The Coalition of Americans for Political Equality Political Action Committee (CAPE PAC) is a non-profit political organization dedicated to restoring conservative values in the politicians elected to represent all citizens of the United States of America. Through the utilization of tools in the CAPE PAC advocacy center, our goal is to assist an informed and active citizenry in their drive for change in the political landscape this November and beyond.
