Capital BlueCross announces local cafe partner for new health and wellness store at Hampden Marketplace
Healthy You Cafe at Capital Blue to serve locally sourced, healthy eats
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- When Capital BlueCross opens its new Capital Blue store this summer in the up-and-coming Hampden Marketplace in Hampden Township, the store will not only provide patrons with inspiration to live healthy -- it will also please their palates.
Capital BlueCross today announced it is partnering with Healthy You Cafe, which will operate a full-service in-store cafe at its new Capital Blue store. Healthy You Cafe is owned by local restaurant and catering entrepreneur Michele Reber. The Healthy You Cafe at Capital Blue will offer a menu of fresh food and beverages made from organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Featured menu items at the Healthy You Cafe at Capital Blue will include locally-baked breads; a daily soup, sandwich and salad special; and a healthy recipe of the month. The cafe also will offer gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, and fresh-made breakfast, lunch and dinner items that can be ordered to go.
In addition to sourcing organic products from local farmers, Healthy You Cafe also believes in being a good steward of the environment. The cafe will use biodegradable products whenever possible and minimize the use of non-recyclable materials.

The Capital Blue store in the Hampden Marketplace shopping development will be Capital BlueCross' second retail location. The first Capital Blue store opened in 2012 at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, a shopping destination in the Lehigh Valley, and is serving more than 25,000 visitors a year.
