Capital Brands, LLC. Wins Arbitration Trial Against Brand Developers, Ltd.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Following an international arbitration trial conducted before United States District Court Judge James Ware (Ret.), Brand Developers, Ltd. of Auckland, New Zealand, was ordered to pay Los Angeles-based Capital Brands, LLC. the sum of $2,955,768, plus attorneys' fees and costs, for breaching the parties' Exclusive Distribution and Licensing Agreement. Capital Brands, LLC., the owner of the internationally popular NutriBullet nutrient extractor blender, is a successful consumer direct, retail marketing, and distribution company.

Judge Ware found that Brand Developers had breached the parties' exclusive distribution agreement in Australia and New Zealand by selling similar products in direct competition with Capital Brands' line of NutriBullet nutrient extractor blenders. The net award to Capital Brands is expected to be approximately $2.5 million after including Capital's expenses and deducting offsets awarded to Brand Developers.
