Cara Beston and Becky Swain of PwC's Risk Assurance Practice Recognized with CloudNOW's Top 10 Women in Cloud Award

WHAT:       

PwC Risk Assurance Partner Cara Beston and Becky Swain, PwC Cloud Assurance Director, today received CloudNOW's "Top 10 Women in Cloud Award" for their exceptional contributions and thought leadership to the cloud community. CloudNOW, an executive consortium of the leading women in cloud computing, presented the award during UBM Tech's Cloud Connect in San Jose, California.

In addition, Ms. Swain will be speaking at Cloud Connect on the new initiatives led by the Cloud Security Alliance, in collaboration with international standards development organizations, to establish new forms of assurance and reporting with the mission of helping to build out a disparately desired trusted cloud ecosystem.

Cara Beston, Partner, PwC Risk Assurance practice

Ms. Beston has been with PwC for more than 20 years and serves as the National Cloud Assurance Leader for PwC's Risk Assurance practice. Based in San Jose, she also leads PwC's Third Party Assurance services for the technology and cloud computing sectors. Ms. Beston specializes in IT and process risk and control assurance services to IT, internal audit and business leaders in the technology sector.

Becky Swain, Cloud Assurance Director, PwC Risk Assurance practice

As the lead director of PwC's Cloud Assurance practice, Ms. Swain provides integrated assurance solutions for building customer confidence in the delivery of cloud computing services that must adhere to customer expectations for data security and privacy, resiliency, and regional and sector-specific regulatory compliance. She is also a Founding Member of the Cloud Security Alliance.
