RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Infrastructure Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNL) ("Cardinal" or the "Company"), announced today that A.L. Grading Contractors (ALGC) has been awarded an approximately $40 million contract to deliver full-site civil infrastructure services for the Carnesville, Georgia, Walmart Sorting Facility.
The 164-acre project will be self-performed by ALGC and Allied Paving Contractors, Cardinal's previously announced paving company acquisition expected to close in the fourth quarter. The scope of work includes mass grading of 1.8 million cubic yards; 54,000 linear feet of storm, sewer and water utility work; a 1.5 million-square-foot building pad; fine grading for asphalt and concrete paving; and 83,000 yards of asphalt paving.
"This project reflects the scale and complexity of work ALGC and Allied Paving are built to deliver together, and it's a great example of how we're diversifying our end markets into commercial and industrial projects by bringing our full range of civil infrastructure capabilities to a major logistics client like Walmart," said Lee Wood, President of Georgia Operations for Cardinal Infrastructure Group.
The Allied Paving acquisition continues Cardinal's vertical integration through disciplined M&A and expands turnkey operations in this fast-growing market.
"Allied Paving has already proven itself as a strong partner on projects like this one and bringing that paving capability fully into the Cardinal platform is a natural next step for our business," said Benji Wood, Chief Operating Officer of Cardinal Infrastructure Group. "We're proud to be part of this significant investment in Georgia that will bring more than 1,000 jobs to the area."
